Rain, Relax, & Runway: Weekend Chronicles

When was the last time your weekend truly felt like a weekend? For me, it was this past weekend. For the first time in a long time my husband and I spent the whole day Saturday lounging at home. No obligations, meetings or events. Just watching movies, eating and listening to the rain tap on our house. We didn't know how much we needed it. As empty nesters, we are thankful that we are in a place in our marriage where we can enjoy each other with no interruptions. Whether you are married or single make sure you make time for yourself or your marriage. It doesn’t have to be an elaborate, expensive or laboring event. A simple at home facial, soak in your favorite bath salts or watch your favorite movie or series.

It was still raining Sunday and I had to be more thoughtful about my attire. I had church in the morning and a movie shortly after. I needed to wear something that would resist the rain, be comfortable (since I wasn’t going to have time to go home and change) and still be stylish. I went to for a military style from head to toe. I didn't want to have to worry about getting my hair wet so I chose my military hat (which is over 20yrs old LOL), to soften the look I went with my oversized silver hoop earrings. A simple contour body suit to snatch the waist, a green cargo skirt to tie in the military look some combat boots heels and top it off with a faux leather biker jacket. I felt put together and I got all the compliments!

The highlight of my weekend was supporting my friend in her first movie debut. Yes, you heard that right … she wrote, directed produced and starred in her first movie. It was a touching memoir that is inspired by the book of Hosea in the Bible. It was a reminder of how God’s unfailing love for us is relentless and it is only through His love that we can truly know how to love ourselves and others. Find out more about “Unfailing Love” here.  The perfect end to a beautiful weekend.

I hope you were able to enjoy your weekend as much as I did. If not, be sure to make the most of this weekend and next. Peace and Love and remember

Stay Sewcial, Stay Inspired,

XO Sebrina
