Linking Threads: Community, Connection, & Sales Success
Without Connection, there is no community. Without Community, there are no sales.
This past weekend I had the opportunity to be a vendor at my first Sip & Shop Experience in Fredericksburg, VA. A local small business vendor show.. I had mixed feelings about this event because I know that my clothing brand is not for everyone and it is very connection based. However, after praying about it I felt strongly that I needed to step out of my comfort zone and showcase Sewcially Inspired Designs to a new audience.
My goals for this event were brand awareness, getting feedback from people who did not know about the brand and growing my community. I don’t think I was truly prepared …but I GOT ALL THREE!! LOL It is always great to receive feedback. However, whether such feedback is positive or negative…it should never be taken so seriously that you change everything about yourself or what and how you do what you do for your community. Keep your “WHY” in mind and maintaining a healthy perspective is key.
Looking back on this weekend, I can say I am happy with the results overall. I may not have gotten all the sales I wished, but I grew my community, made meaningful connections and I know that in the end I will provide value and that is what will eventually bring in the sales.
A special shout out to my community for your support and stopping by my booth to show me some love.
You make me and Sewcially Inspired better!
